Growing up in Navajo Mountain, also known as Naatsis'Aan, on the Utah-Arizona border, Bahozhoi experienced firsthand the challenges and strengths of Indigenous communities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while serving on a school board, she witnessed stories and struggles that were never publicly shared. This inspired her to create The Dinétah’K Podcast, a space dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices, preserving cultural narratives, and inspiring future generations.
She holds a B.S. in Public Health (University of Arizona), a Certificate in Indigenous Leadership (ASU), and is pursuing a Master of Public Health & Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Health (Johns Hopkins University) and a Master of Legal Studies in Indigenous Peoples’ Law (University of Oklahoma).
Through the podcast, Bahozhoi highlights Indigenous resilience, shares lived experiences, and empowers youth to envision and achieve their full potential.

Through The Dinétah’K Podcast, I have interviewed Indigenous leaders, creators, and public figures across media, education, and governance. The platform amplifies Indigenous voices while documenting stories of resilience, success, and cultural continuity. Episodes reach a global audience and inspire Indigenous youth while educating others about Indigenous experiences.
Vision for the Future
I aim to expand The Dinétah’K Podcast into a sustainable, family-led platform that continues to inspire, educate, and preserve Indigenous narratives for generations. The focus is on mentorship, storytelling, and creating opportunities for Indigenous youth to see what is possible for their future.
As a founder, I remain committed to ensuring that The Dinétah’K Podcast stays Indigenous-led, family-held, and a trusted platform for authentic storytelling.
